The world of Pandora has captivated millions of viewers around the world with Avatar and its sequel Avatar: The Waterway. Among the fans of the world created by James Cameron from scratch, some are also fans of LEGO. And when these two worlds meet, the result is worth it!

These fans used 1 million bricks to recreate the world of Pandora above and below the water! In workshops held in primary schools and libraries, children participated in both the construction and design of certain parts of the decor. The diorama represents images from the movies, and the sky behind it, which gives it all its depth, is also made of LEGO!
The initiative started from one of the brand’s LUGs, LUG being the name given to the LEGO fan association on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. LUG contacted LEGO about the idea and the firm gave them the resources they needed to make this (very!) crazy project happen.
Thus, we can recognize the underwater creatures and special flora revealed in The Way of Water, but also the Ikrans (flying creatures from the first film), in a 3D environment that shows the surface with a magnificent waterfall and trees that are probably thousands of years old. Also the seabed and its hypnotic colors.

If the project was supported by Disney, who broadcast the impressive result of the construction of these watches on the official YouTube channel of the franchise, we still do not know what James Cameron thought about it.
The filmmaker is very busy with the upcoming resumption of filming on Avatar 4 and 5 (which has been interrupted by the writers and actors’ strike) and post-production on Avatar 3, which opens in theaters on December 17, 2025.
