The film that brought several generations to the cinema will be available in the Netflix catalogue. Super Mario Bros. arrives streaming on December 3 for subscribers in the United States. There is no information yet on when this will happen for the Brazilians. The announcement was released on the platform’s official profile on X (formerly Twitter).
The animation, which has already surpassed $1 billion in grosses worldwide, was released for the first time on the Peacock streaming service. Its arrival on Netflix is part of a deal between film producer Illumination Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation, under which the studios’ films arrive on the platform four months after joining Peacock.

So far, the possibility of a Super Mario Bros. 2 has not yet been confirmed. The latest information on the matter was released by the actor who voiced the character of Mario, Chris Pratt. According to Colliderdeclared that, until the Hollywood strike was resolved, there would be no continuation of the work.
Once the closures are complete, it shouldn’t take long for the official announcement. But even if that doesn’t happen, fans can watch Super Mario Bros. on Netflix or play the recent Nintendo version Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
