While a few weeks ago, in honor of AlloCiné’s 30th anniversary, we discussed together what were the best films of the last 3 decades, here are ten films according to the many marks awarded by the site. The audience is considered the best in the history of cinema.
As expected, the first place in the rating is taken by Forrest Gump, who has been at the top of the Allocine podium for many years with an average of 4592 stars out of 5. Tom Hanks, who stars in this acclaimed Robert Zemeckis drama, also doubles in this top 10, as Frank Darabont’s The Green Line (in which he also stars) is in third position (with 4,572 points).
Film director Frank Darabont can also boast of occupying two places in the rating. Indeed, in addition to The Green Line, the sixth place is occupied by his famous drama Les Evadés, which is very often found at the top of the list determined by the world viewers (with a rating of 4,527).

We find it interesting that three of these top 10 films came out in the same year, 1994, which seems to have been particularly prolific in masterpieces.
Note also that one and only film appears in both the audience top ten and the press top ten (dominated by Buster Keaton’s General Mechanic): Vol au – Above the Cuckoo’s Nest, directed by Miloš Forman in 1976. .
