    With the last of the three Star Wars trilogies over and with the Disney+ platform already consolidated, the mouse company is planning an ambitious calendar of upcoming Star Wars releases in movies and seriesDo you want to travel to the distant galaxy both on the big screen and on the small one?

At the moment little is known about the project beyond the fact that it will be written by Dave Filoni (the person responsible for giving continuity to the timeline of ‘The Mandalorian’) and that he will give us Hayden Christensen again.

    ‘The Mandalorian’: Season 3 – Series

    The first live action Star Wars series will continue a new season at the hands of its creators, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. After the shocking end of the second season, all the events of this new installment are kept secret (although we already know that Christopher Lloyd joins the cast). The combination of Luke Skywalker, Baby Yoda and Mando can connect the classic trilogy with that of ‘The Force Awakens’.

    Created by Jon Watts, responsible for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, the series will focus on un group of children lost in the galaxy trying to find their way home in the era of the New Republic. It was one of the great confirmations of the Star Wars Celebration 2022 by announcing that Jude Law would be one of its protagonists.

    ‘Lando’ – Series

    Star Wars: The Taika Waititi Movie

    Taika Waititi is working on a Star Wars script about which very little is known, at least at the moment. The director knows the saga first-hand from his work on ‘The Mandalorian’, where he has given the voice of IG-11 and directed one of the best episodes of the first season, and has vowed to escape, once and for all, from the Skywalker soap opera.

    ‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron’ – Movie [Suspendida]

    Patty Jenkins (‘Wonder Woman 1984’) She was going to be the first woman to direct a Star Wars movie. with a story about the Rebel Alliance’s iconic squadron of star fighter pilots. The film was scheduled for December 22, 2023 but has been suspended indefinitely. The official reason is that the decision is due to the director’s busy schedule, immersed in the third installment of Wonder Woman and a new Cleopatra movie, but other sources indicate that could be due to creative differences which could indicate that Jenkins will not return to the project in the future.

    Next spin-off of the ‘The Mandalorian’ timeline with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni as executive producers. The series was announced alongside ‘Ashoka’ and promised to interconnect the stories of both with ‘The Mandalorian’. According to rumors, the series was going to star Cara Dune (Gina Carano), one of the star characters of ‘The Mandalorian’.

    As reported Variety, the series is no longer in development. The exact reasons are not known or if the suspension is definitive or only temporary, but everything seems that the decision is consequence of the dismissal of Gina Carano from ‘The Mandalorian’ for her comments on social networks.

    Star Wars: The New Trilogy by Rian Johnson [Suspendida]

    At Lucasfilm they had another huge project to continue expanding the Star Wars universe into new movies. It was the return of Rian Johnson to the franchise after the great ‘The Last Jedi’ with a new trilogy. The idea was announced in 2017 and there has been no news since then. Although at the beginning of 2021 we published that “Rian Johnson’s Star Wars trilogy continues, according to the director”, it did not take us long to find out new reports indicating that it could have been definitively archived.
