Palmeiras beat Internacional 3-0 this Saturday, at the Arena Barueri, with a goal from Rony. The striker, who lost his starting role in the last few games, returned to finding the net after more than two months and appreciated the break from fasting.
Rony is one of the main names of the Abel Ferreira era at Palmeiras, but lost space in the squad after being eliminated in the semi-final of the Copa Libertadores, against Boca Juniors. The striker was replaced by Endrick and did not start in the last six games in which he was available. After the clash against Internacional, the emotional player spoke about the importance of scoring again.

With the victory, Palmeiras will sleep at the top of the Brazilian championship. With four rounds left in the season, Rony has ensured that Verdão will continue to treat every match as a “final”.
“It’s important for us. Our intention was to arrive here today and take the three points. Thank God everything went well. Our motto is, see every match as a final. And today was no different, whoever started , who They came into the second half, did their best and today we ended with a great victory”, he said.
