The Scream saga returns and so does Neve Campbell. After a notable absence from the previous film – due to salary – the actor finds his legendary character Sidney Prescott in the seventh installment, directed by the screenwriter of the original, Kevin Williamson.
Studio Paramount has chosen the day before Halloween to reveal the first images of the film – expected on February 25, 2026.
The trailer opens with an introductory scene – in the grand tradition of the saga. Here, the couple visit the famous house of Stu Macher – one of the killers from the first film -… turned into a tourist attraction. The building, the scene of the final scenes of the first and fifth films, ends up in flames, as shown in the official poster. What does a full update say?

Paramount also reveals the first synopsis: “When a new Ghostface appears in the peaceful town where Sidney Prescott has rebuilt his life, his worst nightmares resurface. When her daughter becomes the next target, Sidney has no choice but to return to the fight. Determined to protect the people she loves, she must confront the demons of her past to stop the bloodshed once and for all..”
Amazing feedback
Sidney Prescott’s daughter, named Tatum – another nod to the original – is played by Isabel May, an actress seen in 1883 and 1923, the two Yellowstone spin-offs.
This seventh scream is already talking about the return of some familiar and… dead faces from the previous films: Matthew Lillard – whose voice we hear at the end of the trailer – David Arquette and Scott Foley to name a few. How will the franchise bring them back? A few more months of patience.
