Bambú’s new series mixes action and intrigue in a story of a woman who wants to investigate crimes despite the stereotypes of the time.
The new Spanish series on Amazon Prime Video is called ‘A private matter’ and it will conquer us with a proposal of action, intrigue and a charismatic Aura Garrido as the protagonist. Produced by Bambú with the creators of hits such as ‘Las Chicas del Cable’ and ‘Velvet’, Teresa Fernández-Valdés, Gema R. Neira and Ramón Campos, the series is postulated as an entertaining period piece with the international signing of Jean Reno , adventure partner of Garrido.

‘A Private Matter’: Synopsis
Set in Galicia at the end of the 40s, ‘A Private Matter’ follows Marina Quiroga (Aura Garrido), a daring upper-class young woman who has the soul of a police officer and has decided to hunt down the serial killer who has been stalking her city for months.. To do so, he will need the help of his faithful butler, Héctor (Jean Reno), a discreet and helpful man with great sensitivity, but also intelligence and audacity, which make him the perfect companion in an investigation of these characteristics.
Marina and Héctor will fight together against all obstacles to achieve it.: neither the gender prejudices of the time (which relegated women to household chores), nor the resistance of the new commissioner, nor the attempts of Marina’s mother to marry her off will be able to prevent them from finally discovering the truth.

Aura Garrido (‘The ministry of time’, ‘The innocent’) is the protagonist of the series in the role of Marina Quiroga, and his faithful butler is played by Jean Reindeer. The French actor is famous for films like ‘León, el profesional’ and has recently appeared in another Spanish-language series, ‘Who killed Sara?’
