Barbie continues to be successful. After the consecration of Greta Gerwig’s film in theaters around the world, the film has now received 11 nominations for the 2024 edition of the Grammy Awards. The nominees for the 66th edition of the awards were announced this Friday (10th) by the Recording Academy.
Barbie will compete in categories such as best recording of the year for Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” and best song of the year for Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night.” It’s also up for Best Soundtrack and Compilation Score for Visual Media, as well as being mentioned in the Best Rap Song (“Barbie World”) and Pop Solo Performance (“What Was I Made For?”) categories.
The film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling was also nominated for Score for Visual Media. The information comes from expiration.
The production is now available on digital platforms and has grossed $1.4 billion, almost R$7 billion, at the global box office. The Grammy ceremony is scheduled for February 4, 2024 and will be held in Los Angeles, United States.
