Netflix finally releases the full trailer for Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder’s Star Wars, and it’s impressive

On December 22, Netflix subscribers will meet in front of their screens to discover Rebel Moon, the blockbuster directed by Zack Snyder, which he continued to work on in recent months.

Rebel Moon: Release Date, Casting, Trailer… All About Netflix’s Star Wars

The director and the platform took advantage of Geeked Week – a week full of announcements – to unveil the final trailer for the film, after an already generous teaser.

In these new images, the character of Cora (played by Sofia Boutella) begins to disrupt the peace of the peaceful colony by attacking the army of the tyrant Regent Balisarius.

Now that war has been declared, a young woman must travel the planets to recruit warriors who will agree to attack the Empire’s soldiers. And the hero shouldn’t be shy about his small team: Charlie Hunnam, Michel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Staz Nair, Duna Bae and Ray Fisher, the villain, played by Ed Skrein, better watch out.

This Rebels Moon trailer is faithful to Zack Snyder’s tone, its slow motion, polished special effects that call for big spectacle, and its “lucky few” willing to do whatever it takes to save the entire world.

Rebel Moon: An ambitious project

The 300 and Man of Steel director has been working on the project, which was originally pitched as a Star Wars spin-off, for more than 20 years. This space opera was conceived as a monumental sci-fi franchise that will be released exclusively on Netflix.

The platform has already announced the second part of Rebel Moon – subtitled “The Entailer” – for April 19, 2024. According to reports, the third part is being prepared.

Note that Netflix will offer two versions of each movie: the director’s cut, which should be restricted to under-16s, and another that the whole family can watch.
