The Ibovespa closed this Monday with a decent decline, with trading marked by adjustments, as well as expectations for a new set of corporate results after the close and Tuesday’s US inflation data.
According to preliminary data, the reference index of the Brazilian stock exchange, Ibovespa, fell by 0.14%, to 120,398.46 points. At the highest of the day it reached 120,606.3 points. At the minimum, at 119,878.23 points.
The hesitation comes after Ibovespa racked up three consecutive weekly increases, totaling a 6.55% gain. Last Friday the index closed at a three-month high.
The financial volume this Monday amounted to 16.4 billion reais before the final changes.
