Last Friday (11/10), in the Mathias Velho neighborhood of Canoas, a police operation conducted by officers of the 1st Assault Police Battalion (BPChoque) led to the arrest of a 15-year-old teenager in possession of weapons from fire and narcotics. . The action was taken after complaints from residents, who reported the presence of armed individuals and activities related to drug trafficking in an area known for the dominance of a criminal faction.
During the investigation, the police team found the teenager, who corresponded to the characteristics reported, holding a bag. During the search, several illicit items were found, including a .380 caliber pistol, a .38 caliber revolver, ammunition of various calibers, a knife, a precision scale, cash, as well as large quantities of marijuana. The teenager, with no police record, received a warning and was taken to the Emergency Police Station (DPPA) together with the material seized to document the incident.
The police action reinforces the authorities’ commitment to fighting criminal activities and maintaining security in the region. The detained teenager will now face appropriate legal measures in relation to charges of illegal possession of firearms and drug trafficking.
