Bottas launches nude photo calendar to support prostate cancer research

The Aston Martin driver will donate part of the project’s profits to institutions fighting the disease; in 2022, he gave Lewis Hamilton a similar painting

In 2022, Valtteri Bottas went viral on social media with a nude photo in a stream in the Colorado region of the United States. She even gave her teammate Lewis Hamilton a painting that captured the moment. A year later, the Finnish Alfa Romeo driver, 15th in the Formula 1has launched a calendar with 13 similar photos that will help fund research into the fight against prostate cancer.

“Remember the photo last year of this guy, naked in a river in Aspen?” – city in the state of Colorado – “Good news: there are now 13,” says photographer Paul Ripke, responsible for the photos, in a video posted on Bottas’ social networks. The one mentioned, which went viral on social media and was given to Hamilton as a gift, was recorded by his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell, an Australian cyclist, during a ride they took in the USA.

The “Bottass 2024 calendar” – a play on the driver’s surname and the English slang term for butt – costs 19.90 euros (R$ 105) and for each piece sold, five euros will be donated to institutions that research breast cancer , prostate and for “Movember”, a movement aimed at raising awareness among men about mental health and testicular and prostate cancer.

It is not the first time that Bottas has used his photos to raise awareness and promote the fight against cancer. In 2022 he decided to sell five thousand copies of the photo and donated the 50 thousand euros raised (at the time about R $ 255 thousand) to charity.
