Still directed by Damien Leone, the mastermind behind this terrible B-series trilogy, the film has a bigger budget than its predecessor. Terrifier 3 pushes the boundaries
The filmmaker added: “Terrifier 3 will push the boundaries of the horror genre and continue the no-nonsense, no-nonsense exploits that fans of the franchise have come to expect and enjoy. If you thought Arty the Clown’s reign of terror in the second installment was extreme, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
The first film was released in 2016 to general indifference, while Terrifier 2 – due out in October 2022 – enjoyed buzz after inducing discomfort and vomiting. The specialized press quickly spread this information, and the film became a “rite of passage” for fans of horror cinema.
On a $250,000 budget, Terrifier 2 grossed $15 million worldwide. The third opus should be released in cinemas at the end of 2024.
