The main cast of the Friends series has begun saying goodbye, at least publicly, to Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing on the series and died on October 28. The first to post goodbyes on social media were Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox, this Wednesday (15th).
The first poster was LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani, Chandler’s roommate and best friend on the series. Three hours later, actress Courteney Cox posted her own text in tribute to her friend. She played Monica Geller, Chandler’s best friend and wife.

To give some context, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night stand in London. But due to the public’s reaction, that became the beginning of their love story.
In this scene, before we started recording, he whispered a funny line to me.
He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.
Another tribute
Max, the platform that replaced HBO Max in the United States, included a tribute to actor Matthew Perry at the beginning of each of the series’ ten seasons. To honor the actor, the streaming platform included an image in the form of a free ticket at the beginning of the seasons.
“In memory of Matthew Perry 1969-2023,” reads the postcard, which appears on screen for about five seconds before the series begins. OR has prepared a list of other TV and film roles for Chandler from Friends.
