MBP T125X, an urban hiker for beginners

The MBP brand continues to gradually announce new features in its range. In addition to medium and large displacement models, it also offers 125 cm³ motorcycles for users new to the world of two wheels.

And not just scooters or more practical models, but MBP also offers more captivating and particular solutions, such as the T125X, a trail model ready to serve urban trips, but which also paves the way for walks and excursions in the countryside on weekends.

The riding position is one of the main reasons for the recent success of trail bikes, which in many cases are not liked by users because they are used to riding on dirt roads.

This is one of the attractions of the MBP T125X, whose configuration emulates rally bikes, with raised handlebars that leave arms relaxed and relieve strain on shoulders, as well as an elongated one-piece seat that offers free space for riders of different sizes .

This position is applied to a steel tube structure and the swing arm made of the same material. The suspension uses an inverted fork that offers 180mm of travel, enough to comfortably tackle urban obstacles and even traverse a dirt road.

The 250 mm of ground clearance also supports this task, although the seat height of 825 mm allows for easy access to the bike, whose empty weight of 140 kg should not scare off even beginners.

The brakes use a 265 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, both wave type and with ABS system. The spoked wheels (with inner tubes) are fitted with mixed 90/90-19 inch and 110/90-17 tyres.

Motorization of the new MBP 125 T125X

The T125X is powered by its own engine, which is not the same as other MBP models, although it has a single-cylinder structure, with a four-stroke cycle, DOHC cylinder head, water-cooled and with electronic injection.

The MBP announces a power of 14.5 HP at 10,000 rpm and 1.9 kgf.m of torque at 7,500 rpm, enough to reach a top speed of 100 km/h.

Another bonus of the T125X for first-time users is the modern digital instrument cluster that simulates the look of a mobile phone, as well as offering up to two USB inputs for connecting electronic devices. Likewise, the handle covers and the plastic protective plate are eye-catching.
