Another feature film based on a Stephen King story, with a chilling screenplay, motivated by a five-year-old boy called Gage Creed, played by Miko Hughes.
The boy dies and comes back to life thirsting for death, after his parents discover a supernatural cemetery behind his house. Although his father believes it to be a miracle, the boy’s return is nothing more than a curse.

5. The Others (2001)
Grace Stewart (Nicole Kidman) moves into a new house with her children, Anne (Alakina Mann) and Nicholas (James Bentley). The place is isolated, but is perfect for living with children, since they cannot have contact with daylight.
To protect them, the house lives in darkness, until some rules end up being broken and the family’s routine changes completely. This leads the residents to believe that the property is haunted by supernatural forces, but the twist ends up changing everything.

4. Goodnight Mom (2014)
This is another movie with twins, confirming that this is a formula used by Hollywood to guarantee box office success.
The plot tells the story of Elias (Elias Schwarz) and Lukas (Lukas Schwarz), who need to move into a house with their mother (Susanne Wuest) after she undergoes facial surgery. As time passes, the boys begin to suspect whether the person under the bandages is really their mother.

The Spanish horror film tells the story of Tomás, the spirit of a tormented child who haunts an abandoned orphanage, where little Simon goes to live with his family.
In the same place, Simon’s mother, Laura, lived as an orphan, and intended to renovate everything after the move. However, the son’s imagination begins to worry the family, with several events justifying the child’s fears.

Social worker Emily Jerkins (Reneé Zelweger) is determined to save young Lilith (Jordelle Ferland) from her violent daily life as she appears to suffer at the hands of her parents.
To help the child, Emily decides to adopt him, but ends up discovering too late that the child’s name indicates all the harm he can bring, eventually controlling her life.

It’s impossible to talk about children in horror films and not mention The Exorcist. Regan (Linda Blair) is the protagonist and she cannot be left out of the list, as she is one of the most well-known girls in cinema.
The character is possessed by a demon and is forced to undergo an exorcism, which still gives rise to classic and frightening performances today.
