Brazil leads the Parapan American Games medal table after the third day of competition

Monday was a big accomplishment for Brazil at the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile. The Brazilians won 51 more medals, including 22 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze. With this, the country isolated itself even further at the top of the medal table, with a total of 127.




Just this Monday the Brazilian team shone in swimming, winning nine gold medals, and in judo, winning seven. In addition, the athletes also excelled in table tennis, shooting and weightlifting. Now Brazil has 55 gold, 38 silver and 34 bronze.

The main change in the ranking, not counting the growth of Brazil, was the growth of Colombia. The Colombians overtook Argentina and placed third, with 44 medals: 12 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze.

The brothers dropped to fifth place, with 39 total victories, while Chile occupies fourth place, with 28. Having more gold medals than Argentina (10 to 9), the Chileans moved up one place in the overall rankings.

The United States remains in second place, with 46 medals total. The American team has 14 gold, 12 silver and 20 bronze. As a result, on this third day of the Parapan American Games, the distance between first and second place ends at 81 results.
