This is one of the most intriguing projects of 2024. Prime Video has just announced the release date for the new Foe movie from Garth Davies – the director of Lion – starring two of the most exciting actors of the moment: Paul Mescall and Saoirse Ronan.
Foe is a psychological science fiction film in which Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan create a couple, Junior and a chicken, who live on an isolated farm. Their lives are disrupted by the arrival of a stranger, Terrance (Aaron Pierre), who makes them a proposal that will change their lives forever.
Junior was randomly selected to go aboard a large experimental space station that would orbit the Earth for two years. Weirdest thing? Arrangements have already been made so that Han won’t miss a beat when he leaves because he won’t be alone for a minute… since he’ll be in the company of a robot version of Junior. , which really bothers him and causes conflicts between him and Hen.
A pitch reminiscent of last season’s episode 3 of Black Mirror, “My Heart for Life,” with Aaron Paul and Josh Hartnett. Foe, Garth Davies’ third feature, premiered at this year’s London Film Festival, but Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch it from January 5.
Another film for Paul Mezcal, whose career is going from strength to strength. He will soon lead the cast of Gladiator 2 alongside Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen and Matt Lucas.
