The excerpt is part of a reality show in which struggling parents receive advice on how to raise their children.

Several excerpts from episode 169 went viral this week and last on social media and raised awareness among Internet users. In the programme, which offers expert advice to parents with difficulties, a bit of the routine of the boy is shown, who spends most of his time alone, with his parents, who are almost always absent, and when they are at home they pay attention to second child who is still a newborn.
The one we talk about the most is an interview, in which the boy is asked “who he likes more, his father or his mother”, and Geum says he doesn’t know, because he spends a lot of time alone at home and never has company to play with. At one point, the boy says he is afraid of his father because he “is scary when he gets angry”. Sad, the boy says that he wishes his father would call him affectionate nicknames.
When he talks about his mother, he says: “I don’t think she likes me.” Immediately afterwards he starts crying, asks production for a minute and says he doesn’t feel listened to by his parents.
Also during the episode, the mother is seen saying harsh words to the boy regarding his intelligence and appearance. In one of them, the woman asks him if he likes “Korean, mathematics or art” more and he, amused by the drawing, replies: “drawing”. And she replies harshly: “You don’t seem to be good at studying.”
After that, he asks him if he will study in an art school, however, before Geum can answer, he interrupts him by stating that “art school kids have to be nice and he wasn’t” and for this reason he could not be an “art boy”. The parents’ gesture shocked the hosts who reacted: he “is only four years old”.
@palomajoon His self-esteem will definitely suffer in the future 😭 #mygoldenkids #Village #children #family #TV show ♬ original sound – paloma 🦀
Over the course of the episodes, the evolution of the family after receiving professional intervention and recovery is also shown the ending is happy. The parents, especially the mother, begin to pay more attention to Geum and encourage him. The result is very positive and the little boy smiles again.
At one point, his mother asks him how he felt when she was very tired from work and couldn’t play with him. He answers honestly that she was sad. She then informs him that she will change and that she will try to devote more time to the child.
“Geez, mom doesn’t hate you. If I made you think this, I am deeply sorry. I will try to give you more love and play with you more. I love you,” her mother says in an interview.
