Tim Allen revealed that he was approached by Disney to return to dubbing Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 5. In an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallonthe actor also said that Tom Hanksresponsible for giving life to Woodywas also invited to return in the new film, which does not yet have a release date.
“Bob Iger, president of Disney, said the film would happen. They contacted me and Tone to reprise our roles”confirmed Allen. He also expressed concern about a fifth chapter of the story, announced in February this year, but revealed what he heard about the news:
“Rumor has it, the writer working on the film wrote one of the best stories and said, ‘If I didn’t do this right, I wouldn’t do it’. This could be a really interesting way to bring everyone together.”he declared.
Launched in 1995, Toy Story has won millions of admirers in almost thirty years. Since the first film, the story of Andywhich come to life and take part in various adventures away from their owner’s eyes, has already won three sequels – the last two of which grossed more than US$1 billion at the global box office – and a spin-off, Lightyearreleased in 2022.
