Tite ‘gives up’ his role and is responsible for Flamengo’s victory against RB Bragantino

Tite pointed to Matheus Bachi, his son and assistant coach, as one of the main responsibles for Flamengo’s 1-0 win against RB Bragantino, in the delayed round of the Brasileirão.

Immediately after the triumph of the Rubro-negro, the cameras looked at the coach, who cheered a lot with his teammate and repeatedly said “It was you”, alluding to the role played by Matheus during the clash.

Tite continued to talk to the assistant throughout the match. Furthermore, at times, it was Matheus Bachi himself who remained on the sidelines to give directions and analyze the match.

The assistant’s quality in analyzing matches was recognized even before Rubro-negro. Already during his time with the Brazilian team, the Flamengo coach and other assistants had spoken out praising Matheus’ ability as an analyst, as well as praising his participation in tactical movements.

– Matheus has an important job inside, with defensive and offensive set pieces, offensive movements that he manages to combine very well with work on spaces. You often see him on the pitch more than Tite, than me, than Sampaio. We do it cleanly. What I see is that there is a great coach for the future, with the school he went through he prepared himself for this. He didn’t arrive at Corinthians without completing an internship with Vanderlei Luxemburgo, at Shakhtar, at Barcelona… he is very responsible for his work – underlined Cléber Xavier, assistant of Flamengo, in an interview with Placar in October 2022.

FINALize THE TITLE FIGHT!

The goal scored by Arrascaeta definitively puts Flamengo in the hunt for another trophy in the competition. Now Rubro-negro occupies 3rd place and has 60 points, two less than leader Palmeiras.
