Starting this Saturday, November 25, the Disney+ platform in France will present the first of three special episodes of the British series Doctor Who to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the iconic program!
Launched on 23 November 1963 on the BBC, Doctor Who follows the adventures of an extraterrestrial alien from the planet Gallifrey through time and space.
On the TARDIS spaceship (which takes on the appearance of a police box), generally alongside a companion, the latter has a special appearance change, a process called “regeneration”, etc. He avoids death every time. seriously injured.
Since 1963, thirteen actors (fourteen, including War Doctor John Hart) have played the title role of Dr. High. After an initial run until 1989, the series returned to television in 2005 with the introduction of the new Doctor (the ninth in the official hierarchy), played by Christopher Eccleston.

David Tennant is perhaps the most outstanding interpreter of the Doctor. His charming interpretation of the character very often compensated for the darkness of certain episodes. During her reign, the series debuted iconic characters such as River Song and Donna Noble, as well as famous adversaries including the fearsome Weeping Angels.
After three seasons and several special episodes, David Tennant said goodbye to the character in 2010, passing the torch to Matt Smith. However, the Scottish actor returned for the series’ 50th anniversary in 2013 for the duo’s adventures with his successor (the Doctor’s dual presence was made possible by the magic of time travel).
The next Doctor artist has already been announced: it’s Ncuti Gatwa, most notably seen in the TV series Sex Education. However, what was the surprise of the fans during the farewell episode of Jodie Whittaker (the thirteenth performer of the character) the latter’s regeneration in Nkuti Gatwa… but in David Tennant!

Thus, the issue of these three special episodes will no longer be Doctor Who, but Doctor How. Yes, how can we justify the first time the Doctor’s regeneration forces him to borrow traits from a previous incarnation?
And why this version of the Time Lord when it was also announced that his iconic companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) will appear in these anniversary episodes?
Many questions will be answered in these three special adventures that will be discovered on Disney+ this Saturday, November 25th, then December 2nd for the second episode and finally December 9th for the third episode. The series returns on December 25th for a traditional Christmas episode!
New episodes of Doctor Who are now only available on Disney+.
