Good luck to you, Great Leo. is a fantastic new British film in which Dame Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack spend a lot of time together in a hotel room. So that’s exactly what we got them to do again this week, with Ella Kemp (making her Empire Podcast debut) talking to the stars of Sophie Hyde’s film about an older woman who, having had little positive sex, he hires a prostitute (McCormack) and complications ensue. The film is frank, funny and insightful, and his conversation with Ella is similar, with Dame Emma’s recollections of the big boyand one of the best responses we’ve had on the podcast. Hint: it has an Oscar.
Then, in this week’s podbooth, James Dyer is joined by Chris Hewitt and, for the first time in a long time, Helen O’Hara, and to be honest, the reunion drives them crazy. So, while answering a listener’s question about movie sets they came across unprofessionally, they talk about Elena’s Wikipedia page), and Chris and Helen tell James the story of the Giant’s Causeway. They also discuss real movies at any time, including news about the movies of the week, including the possibility of Lady Gaga joining. joker 2 (which can be a musical ???), the announcement of the Paddington 3 director, and his feelings about the official title of A Knives Out 2: Benoît Boogaloo. In the reviews section, take a look Good luck to you, Great Leo., spider head, Everything went wellYes last seen aliveand Sophie Butcher goes to infinity and beyond to help everyone get to know Pixar. Light year. Have a good time.
