The franchise still has no plans to release any more films.
Bradley Cooper does not deny his roots, despite the actor having followed a trajectory of more refined projects, such as “A Star Is Born” and “Maestro”Cooper expressed willingness to participate in another sequel to the comedy “If You Drink, Don’t Marry!”
“I would make a If You Drink, Don’t Marry IV just in time […] Simply because I love it Todd [Phillips]I adore him Zach [Galifianakis]I adore him Ed [Helms] Too much, I probably would.” said the actor in an interview with the podcast The New Yorker Radio Hour.
Cooper was asked if a sequel is in the works, and revealed:
“I don’t believe Todd will accomplish this.”
The first film in the franchise debuted in theaters in 2009, becoming a global success and grossing more than US$469 million. In addition to receiving critical acclaim, “If You Drink, Don’t Marry!” was awarded at Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards as Best Comedy in 2010, in addition to being included in the list of the 10 best films of the year by American Film Institute (AFI).
In 2011 and 2013, two more sequels were released: “The Hangover 2”reached an impressive box office of US$586 million, while “The Hangover 3”raised US$362 million. Despite their popularity with the public, the sequels did not reach the same level of acclaim as the original film.
