The Corinthians team earns two new absences in view of the match against Vasco, valid for the 36th day of the Brazilian Championship. Midfielder Matías Rojas and midfielder Roni, for physical reasons, will not travel with the delegation to Rio de Janeiro.
Rojas felt pain in his left hamstring, while Roni suffered an injury to his left thigh adductor. Also among the victims are Fausto Vera, still being treated for an inflammation of the Achilles tendon, and Gustavo Silva, recovering from a muscle injury in his left calf.
Defender Gil is suspended for accumulating yellow cards, but will still travel with the group and is on Timão’s list.
The Corinthians team worked this Sunday on coach Dr. Joaquim Grava under the command of Mano Menezes. After physical activation and strength work in the gym, the athletes went to warm up on the lawn. The technical committee promoted ball possession and marking training and, finally, organized a mini-game on a reduced pitch.
The Corinthians group continued its journey to the capital Rio this Sunday. The team will complete their preparation for tomorrow’s match in Rio de Janeiro.
Corinthians and Vasco will face each other this Tuesday (28th), at 9.30pm (Brasilia time), in São Januário. The comparison at the bottom of the table is important, in the fight against relegation.
