Doctor Who: Unrecognizable Harry Potter star in 60th anniversary episode!

An episode of Doctor Who would never be complete without guest stars. Many British personalities have appeared in the program since its inception in 1963, and this time it is the iconic actor of the Harry Potter saga.

Many fans of the series were really wondering who would lend his original voice to the beloved Meep (sic) creature that appears in the first of three episodes celebrating the program’s sixtieth anniversary.

For those who didn’t recognize her voice, the credits confirmed that it is Miriam Margolyes, aka Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, who voices Meep during this episode. Many performers from the saga have also appeared in the Doctor Who series over the years leading up to the latter.

This is especially true of the late Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore), who played Casran in a special episode inspired by Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carols. John Hurt (Mr. Ollivander) played the War Doctor in the 50th anniversary series, while David Bradley (Argus Filch) lent his features to the First Doctor (originally played by William Hartnell).

Finally, the Doctor’s interpreter during these anniversary episodes is David Tennant. The Scottish actor is best known for playing the villain Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. See the full list of actors who have appeared in both Doctor Who and Harry Potter.
