“The Boys” is getting another spinoff, this time set in Mexico. Amazon has ordered production of “The Boys: Mexico,” developed by “Blue Beetle” screenwriter Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer. The production is entrusted to actors Diego Luna (“Star Wars: Andor”) and Gael García Bernal \ (“The Werewolf in the Nighttime”).
According to the American site Deadline, Diego and Gael could also become protagonists of the series, but nothing has been defined yet.
So far, no details of the production’s plot have been revealed, other than the fact that it is set in Mexico.
“The Boys: Mexico” joins “Gen V” and the animated film “Diabólico,” the first two “The Boys” spinoffs.
The main series returns in 2024 with its fourth season on the Prime Video platform.
