NEW AMSTERDAM: TF1 breaks down the broadcast of Season 4 tonight

Starting October 18, TF1 will air three new episodes of Season 4 of New Amsterdam, a medical series inspired by a true story, hosted by Ryan Eggold, every Wednesday night. Season 4 comes under the banner of love after years of twists and turns, Max and Helen (Freema Agyemen) finally seem ready to live their story out in the open.

TF1 is speeding up the broadcast of season 4

Since its launch, New Amsterdam has offered as many as three new episodes per week. Unfortunately, starting this Wednesday, November 29, TF1 will pick up the pace and now broadcast four episodes in the evening.

So you’ll have to wake up before 12:25 AM to hopefully follow all the adventures of the medical staff at the New Amsterdam Hospital. It must be said that for several weeks, the audience for fiction created by David Shulner has been at an all-time low.

Last week’s first two new episodes drew 1.81 million viewers, or 9.6% of the public and 18.8% of the FRDA-50. These disappointing figures did not allow TF1 to reach the audience podium that evening.

Thus, the first page was beaten by I was born at 17, a France 2 TV film inspired by Thierry Becarro’s autobiography, and the programs Le Meilleur Pâtissier (M6) and Secrets d’Histoire (France 3). So it’s no surprise that TF1 has decided to pick up the pace to limit the damage and offer stronger fiction for this time slot in a few weeks.

This Wednesday, November 29, TF1 will air episodes 17, 18, 19 and 20 of Season 4 of New Amsterdam. Next week brings you the final two episodes, followed by the first two episodes of Season 5, the last for the medical series. TF1 continues next Wednesday to broadcast four new episodes of the final season.

Catch four new episodes of New Amsterdam every Wednesday from 9.10pm on TF1. The first three seasons of the medical series are now available on Netflix.
