Spotify reveals 2023 retrospective with artist and song highlights

Spotify has revealed its 2023 Retrospective, highlighting the most popular artists, songs, albums and podcasts among more than 574 million users globally.

In Brazil, singer Ana Castela was the most listened to artist of the year, followed by Henrique & Juliano, MC Ryan SP, Marília Mendonça and Jorge & Mateus.

The most listened to song in the country was “Nosso Quadro”, by Ana Castela. The most listened to album was “Escolhas, Vol. 2”, by Zé Neto & Cristiano. The most popular podcast in Brazil was “Podpah”, for the second time in a row.

Globally, Taylor Swift was the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2023, followed by Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake and Peso Pluma.

The most streamed song of the year was “Flowers,” by Miley Cyrus, with more than 1.6 billion streams. The most listened to album in the world was “Un Verano Sin Ti”, by Bad Bunny. The most popular podcast globally was “The Joe Rogan Experience”.

In addition to artist and song highlights, the platform’s 2023 Retrospective offers a personalized experience for users, revealing their top playlists, music genres and streaming habits.
