Couple arrested in act with stolen truck in Canoas

The Battalion’s Tactical Force makes an arrest after recovering a stolen vehicle in Canoas

On Monday afternoon (27/11), in Rua José Veríssimo, 1766, in the Harmonia neighborhood of Canoas, the team of the Tactical Force of the 15th Battalion of the Military Police conducted a successful operation, culminating in the capture of an individual and the reacquisition of a vehicle reported as stolen.

Officers received reports of a suspicious white Toyota Hilux vehicle being driven in the area, associated with illicit activities. The team managed to find the vehicle, which already had false license plates. During the approach, a 38-year-old man, with a history of vehicle seizure and embezzlement, and a 38-year-old woman, with no criminal record, were stopped.

Following the legal procedures, the couple was taken to the Canoas Emergency Department (DPPA), where the appropriate legal measures will be taken.
