David Harbor, translator of Jim Hopper, shared new photos from the 4th season of Stranger Things on his Instagram. They reveal that he really did have a facial prosthesis for some of the scenes. Definitions.
Season 4 begins six months after the end of Season 3 and finally reveals the fate of fans’ favorite police chief Jim Hopper. აქვსHe has Well and really survived his probable death at the end of Season 3. The scene shows him jumping sideways a few minutes before the explosion that Joyce (Winona Ryder) claims killed him.
During Season 4, we discover that Hopper is being held captive in a Soviet prison. This is a much thinner hopper that appears, with a shaved head. In an Instagram post, the actor reveals that in order to shoot flashback scenes showing how Hopper survived the explosion, he had to wear facial prostheses so that he looked the same as he did in Season 3.
David Harbor lost a lot of weight playing the role of Hopper, who was in prison for six months at the beginning of Season 4. And because the Daphne brothers had not yet written the scene of the explosion, they did not write the scene of the explosion. Of course, it is impossible to shoot it.

“At the end of s3 I told the Coloring brothers that after his “death” we had to shoot flashbacks because I was going to lose weight and there would be continuity problems. But they had not yet been written. Luckily, we had a miraculous @barriegower who came and gave me a “fuller hopper” look. “I hate prosthetics, but the bar / team made them as painless as possible,” the actor wrote.“
She then thanks the chief makeup artist and hairdresser who made sure the scene where Hopper shaves her hair was a success. Because they only had one take! When you click on the arrow to view different photos in a post, you can measure how impressive and successful the transformation is.
While, as David Harbor explains, it would have been easier to shoot these scenes at the time they were filming Hopper’s “Death” at the end of Season 3, the colors obviously did not have everything. He was going to survive.
Hopper’s transformation between seasons 3 and 4 convincingly makes the character’s stay in a Soviet prison, as it clearly shows how poorly fed and abused he is. It remains to be seen what will happen after Hopper and Joyce in Part 2. We hope they get out of jail and join Elven and the rest of the gang.
