Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms and Emma Myers (one of Wednesday’s revelations) star in this Christmas comedy. After last year’s Yes Day, the American actor renews his partnership with Netflix and confirms that he prefers family films to action.

is it worth watching

The Christmas Movies category has what you need on Netflix. Between the catalog, original productions and this year’s new releases, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for.

Today, a small spotlight is on Family Switch, a comedy that launched on the platform on November 30 without much promotion. Still, this Christmas movie has a good cast, and that definitely makes it stronger.

On paper, this production clearly takes inspiration from Freaky Friday, the movie that has been rebooted many times, in which a mother and her daughter switch bodies and thus personalities. They finally realize that instead of constantly fighting, they should be together.

Family Switch offers the same moral. Despite the mundane and conventional storyline, the feature film is good for the heart and ideal entertainment for the year-end celebrations. Between Christmas dances and music, magical decorations, even in sunny Los Angeles, the atmosphere is preserved. But its main asset is its casting: Jennifer Garner and Emma Myers hit the screen in a mother/daughter duo. The latter confirms all its potential and excels in comedy.

If Family Switch isn’t the movie of the century (we’ll get back to the wacky jokes and the completely failed dog-kid flick), it’s highly entertaining and made with heart. Because when the actors are having fun, the audience is having fun too! It’s a guilty pleasure to watch with a good hot chocolate in hand and under a blanket, of course.
