Recently added to the platform’s catalog, Toda Luz que Não Podemos Ver, is an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same name.

Over the course of a decade, the intertwined destinies of two heroes whose lives will be turned upside down by the Second World War: Marie-Laure Leblanc, a young blind French woman who takes refuge with her uncle, and Werner Pfennig, a German teenager who is a real broadcasting genius. Through a shared secret bond, they regain faith in humanity and see a glimmer of hope.

WHO IS IN THE CAST?

If you’ve seen the series Darkthen you know the actor Louis Hoffmann (Jonas), who plays Werner Pfennig in All the Light We Cannot See. To play the sweet Marie-Laure, Netflix relied on a young woman who had never acted until now and whose name must be remembered: Aria Mia Loberti. Marco Ruffalo AND Hugh Laurie completes this high-quality cast.

IS IT WORTH WATCHING?

Since the announcement, the platform already seemed to bet big on this war drama adapted from the formidable novel by Antonio Doerr released in 2015. The first images, revealed by Netflix during its TUDUM event last June, have already attracted attention.

The series consists of four episodes of one hour each and the camera Shawn Levy (Free boy, Deadpool 3 and also producer of Stranger things) takes us into the hell of the Second World War, between the cities of Paris and Saint-Malo.
