Prime Video has released the first teaser for the fourth season of “The Boys”. The preview shows that the radical division between supporters of Starlight (played by Erin Moriarty) and defenders of Captain Homelander (Homelander, played by Antony Starr) gives rise to a pitched battle, which politicians exploit to manipulate the masses and rise to candies. “Como César”, exemplifies Captain Patria himself, to the sound of a track that distorts and crushes the soul classic “If There’s a Hell Below We’re All Going to Go”, by Curtis Mayfield.
The teaser also highlights the debut of actresses Susan Heyward (“Orange Is the New Black”) and Valorie Curry (“The Lost Symbol”) duly characterized as superheroes Sister Sage and Firecracker, who will be presented as Homelander’s allies, and the arrival by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan from “The Walking Dead”) in the role of the ex-partner of Billy Brutus (Billy Butcher), the leader of the group The Boys, played by Karl Urban. Additionally, it shows Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), Homelander’s son, losing control and violently killing a person.
The third year of production broke audience records on Prime Video and inspired the expansion of “The Boys” universe with the launch of the spin-off “Gen V”, whose events should be reflected in the new episodes of the series principal.
Scheduled for 2024, the new episodes do not yet have a defined release date.
