Ian receives news that changes him

Unable to sleep, Ian ran to let off steam. After returning home, he seems distant to Johanna. While he tries to find out if everything is okay, the cop assures us that he is, then quickly ends the conversation to take a shower.

At the hospital, Lauryn has just discovered that Dr. Cresson has taken a patient’s surgery off the schedule. The latter explains to him that in the case of a herniated disc, surgery is the last resort. So he will try physical therapy before sending the patient to the operating room. However, Lorin is convinced that Pierre has played a dirty trick on her and she is not going to let it happen.

Moreover, the young woman does not waste a minute to complain to Janet. The latter then reminds him that the physiotherapist is a carer like everyone else and that his opinion should be taken into account. She also clarifies that it was Dr. Cresson who made the decision to cancel the surgery, not Pierre. However, Lorin is convinced that Pierre has everyone fooled and says that she is sure that her colleagues would change their minds about her if they knew her past. However, Dr. Lewis insists that Pierre’s past has nothing to do with his professional qualities. He also emphasizes that he is free to work elsewhere if a new team member’s past causes him problems.

At the police station, Ian meets Florent and wants to know if he can sleep at night knowing that he is breaking out murderers from prison. Although he understands that Pierre’s early release is a shock to him, the lawyer still reminds him that he has paid his debt to society and that he has the right to rebuild his life. Florent further specifies that Pierre has been completely abstinent since the accident and that he has found important work at the hospital. A heavy blow for a policeman who learns that his wife’s killer has settled in Montpellier. Enraged, Ian grabs the files Florent is holding before throwing them to the ground. Becker, who heard her screaming, quickly calls Lt. Cross into his office.

Facing the superior’s questions, Ian tells him that Florent is the lawyer for the man who killed his wife, then tells him that Alexandra was hit by a driver four years ago and that her killer got parole. Even if he does understand, Becker makes him realize that he can’t allow himself to act like this. So he gives 24 hours off to think, but above all, to relieve pressure.

As night falls, Johanna calls Ian to find out if he has returned home. If he convinces her that he is still at the police station, the lawyer learns from Hugo that the commissioner has given him the day off. As he tries to figure out what he’s doing, Ian remains silent. After he assures her that he can tell her anything, Johanna adds that she is there for him. That’s why he asks her to help him. Ian replies that he’ll be home in 20 minutes before hanging up. In his car, Ian observes Pierre on the city streets. Seeing him cross the crosswalk, he speeds up… Is Ian going to kill Pierre?

Leonor tries to adjust to her new family life

Leonor moved in with Mark. Unfortunately, the start of this new life was quickly overtaken by the everyday life of their family. Indeed, Louis still looks disorganized and his dirty laundry piles up at the bottom of the washing machine, which has a knack for irritating Leonore, who chides Mark for not saying anything.

Before leaving for work, Leonor suggests that Mark and Louis go out to dinner on the set tonight. As Louis wants to take advantage of the play, Leonor tries to book seats, but the show is already sold out. Berthier, who has a friend who works at the establishment, luckily manages to get three seats.

Meanwhile, Jacques Rabier suggests that Marc interview Valentin Porte, the captain of the Montpellier handball team in anticipation of the 2024 Olympics. Although he planned to spend the evening with his family, the journalist agrees. So he calls Leonor and then tells her the bad news.

A short time later, Leonor has a series of disappointments after Louis in turn follows her in an accident. Refusing to spoil the evening, he invites Karine and her daughter to the theater. At the end of the girls’ night, Leonor returns home to find Mark. As he tells her about the evening, Leonor instructs Mark to empty the car before going to bed.
