The UERJ released today, December 4, the tests and answer sheets for the discursive exam of the 2024 entrance exam. The selection process took place yesterday in different cities of Rio de Janeiro.

The discursive exam tests were made up of free-response questions on the Portuguese language, on writing and on two other specific subjects of the chosen courses, worth 20 points each.

According to the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), the answer sheets correspond to the expected answers for the discursive tests, i.e. what the students were supposed to have explained in the questions.

The admission test calendar provides that the list of those admitted to the selection will be published on 12 January 2024.

The UERJ entrance exam 2024 offers 6,436 seats in various university courses. For a career in Medicine, for example, there are 40 vacancies for the city of Cabo Frio and 104 for the capital Rio de Janeiro.

The UERJ entrance exam is different from other selection processes. Is formed from Qualifying exam + Conversational exam.

• Abilitation exam: the university opens registration for two of these tests, which consist of objective general knowledge questions. In the first exam, candidates who score 40% of the exam total are admitted to the next stage. If they do not achieve this grade, they can attempt the second qualifying exam.

• Conversational exam: Those who pass the qualifying exam can register at this stage. This phase includes written and conversational questions depending on the course chosen. It is precisely in this exam that entrance exam candidates choose their career.

During the coronavirus pandemic, UERJ adopted a specific entrance exam model, but, earlier this year, the institution announced that it would return to the traditional entrance exam program, mentioned above.
