Before becoming the captain of the USS Kelvin George T. Kirk, the MCU star auditioned to play Captain James Kirk before Pine booked the role. Revisiting Elder Kirk seemed out of the question a few years ago. Hemsworth turned down the sequel after feeling the script didn’t live up to the Kelvin saga. His admission contradicted previous reports that he and Pine had left the stellar journey beyond sequel to the poor performance of the third film that impacted Chris’s potential salary for the fourth installment.
Of course the spider head the return of the star would be welcome. Pine already made some suggestions for the fourth film before production even began. Obviously, none of Kelvin’s gang members know when they’ll get a script or a start date. So there might be plenty of time for Paramount to call Hemsworth.
