A store leak revealed the new Acer Predator 16 and 18 with 14th Gen Intel Core CPUs and the Acer Swift Go line with Meteor Lake processors
With the upcoming introducing the complete portfolio of Meteor Lake processors and the Raptor Lake Refresh of notebooks, several international retailers have leaked the new line of notebooks Acer. It seems that the Taiwanese giant will bring massive updates to the Predator Helios line, aimed at the high-end segment, and will also introduce new features for the Acer Swift family.

Starting from the premium products, Acer should unveil the new Predator Helios 16 and 18. The difference between the two is the size and type of screen, highlighted by the numbering. The 16-inch uses a technological panel Mini LEDs, while the 18 would have an IPS panel. However, both can use a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate between 240Hz and 250Hz.
The models would also come with 32GB of RAM, possibly DDR5, up to 2TB of SSD, a GeForce RTX 4080, and an Intel Core i9-14900HX. The processor shouldn’t offer much improvement over the current i9-13900HX, maintaining the same hybrid 24-core count and a slight increase in frequencies. The base TDP will remain in the same range above 55W.
Swift Go with Core Ultra 100H
On the other hand, Acer’s Swift Go line focuses on usage scenarios where portability and battery life make more sense than raw performance. For these notebooks, the company would focus on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and the Core Ultra 5 125H, which should focus on greater energy efficiency. In other leaksCPUs have appeared with different core count configurations, so there still seems to be some mystery in this regard.
The new notebooks also do not have any dedicated graphics card, leaving image generation to the iGPU present in the Core Ultra. The graphics card must be a Intel Arc Alchemist Xe-GPL (Low profile graphics) for lighter tasks. The screen of both laptops is 14 inches and both run at a resolution of 2880×1800 with an OLED panel.
The new Acer Predator Helios 16 and 18 and the next generation of the Acer Swift Go line are expected to be announced during CES 2024, in early January. Before Intel will do a event focused on artificial intelligence which is expected to reveal more about Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh in the coming days.
In the leak, the Acer Predator Helios 16 is priced at £2,799.99 (around R$17,400 in direct conversion), while the Acer Predator Helios 18 would cost £3,199.99 (R$19,900). There is currently no suggested price for the Acer Swift Go.
