The new president of Corinthians puts his foot down on Gabriel Moscardo: “I don’t see him”

Augusto Melo, the new president of Corinthians, has put his foot down regarding the possible sale of midfielder Gabriel Moscardo in the next transfer window. The agent made it clear that the club needs to return to being a good seller and that he does not intend to deal the boy for the hypothesized values, in the order of 20 million euros (around R$107 million).

“I don’t see it. Even in transition, commented Duilio, if he were to receive an offer… Our player, made at home, will be at least our third income. He is an 18-year-old boy, he is in “A transition, losing weight now, despite all its category. He will still be ripe, so we can sell three, four times what he is worth. We have to go back to selling well on the market”, said Augusto in an interview with Radio Bandeirantes.

The entrepreneur took the opportunity to stipulate a value that he considers acceptable for the boy. Highly appreciated on the transfer market, the Corinthian revelation has already received a 25 million euro offer from Chelsea mid-year. The offer, however, was rejected by Alvinegro.

“I told him clearly, I joked with him, I told him that I won’t sell. With what they offer me I would never sell. It’s at least 40 million euros”, added Augusto.

The report of Gazzetta dello Sport has discovered that no proposal has arrived at Corinthians for Moscardo in recent weeks. However, it is known that the boy is carefully monitored and receives continuous investigations. Clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain observe the athlete’s situation with affection.

The midfielder himself admitted at the beginning of October that he expected “good things” after the Brazilian championship.

With the Corinthians shirt, Gabriel Moscardo has 25 games under his belt (21 as a starter), one goal, one assist and nine yellow cards.
