The Acre store pays for employee travel after hitting sales goal on Black Friday

In a social media post, the owners highlighted the importance of the well-being of their workers

A company from Rio Branco, in Acre, took all its 14 employees on a trip to Porto Velho, in Rondônia. The bonus, with bus tickets and hotel rates paid entirely by the entrepreneurs, was a consequence of the financial results achieved on Black Friday.

The two branches of the Atacadão dos Celulares store, which sells mobile phone accessories, exceeded R$300,000 in turnover in the period. The businesses formed kilometre-long queues with customers trying to secure discounts on the last Friday of November.

To boost sales, the owners promised all employees, from delivery drivers to salespeople, a trip if the goal was reached. The tour lasted a total of three days, between last Friday, 1, and this Sunday, 3.

In a social media post, the store owners highlighted the importance of employees’ mental and physical health. “The basis of Atacadão has always been and always will be our humanitarian thinking! We always value mental and physical health in the best possible way. For those who contribute to the success of our days and are part of this history, always the best! “
