Loaded on Netflix: What could a second season look like?

Launched on November 30, the series Chargés à block was an immediate success with subscribers, to the point where it topped the platform’s most watched series.

A feat that is not to be missed, as this program is a new fiction from the creators of Cobra Kai, one of the most popular Netflix productions!

With Charged à block, screenwriters John Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Held completely change the world. After a ruthless battle between rival karate schools, it’s time for a frenzy in Las Vegas, where members of an elite unit go to celebrate the success of a high-risk mission.

But the next day after a very drunken night, the team realizes that the deactivated bomb was actually just a hoax! So its members will have to get back to work immediately, but following the trail of a terrorist network that has the worst of the hustle and bustle is clearly not going to be an easy task…

Despite its success, the series has yet to be renewed by Netflix. That’s okay, because screenwriters Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg spoke to our American counterparts. Cinemablend A turn that Charged à block can take in future seasons.

According to the duo, the main inspiration for the series is the action saga Die Hard with Bruce Willis (the plot of the first season is reminiscent of the third opus of the franchise, Une day in hell):

It goes against all the writing habits, where our job is to shape the development as a franchise, with the next episode and the next season in mind. We want it to feel like Die Hard, where you have Die Hard 2 and Die Hard 3 in a different place each time, with new stakes but similar suspense.

Now it’s left to guess which new city could host this team’s next adventure: Paris? Bangkok? Mexico? The stakes are high, and the hypothesis of a second season is only getting stronger due to the success that the series has received worldwide (more than 47.6 million viewing hours have already been recorded!).

Charged à block series can now only be seen on Netflix.
