The first trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2, released last weekend, previews many of the battles and events to come. We remind you that the HBO series is based on a book Fire and blood By George RR Martin, a text that recounts the years of the Targaryen dynasty’s rule over the kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms.
While Season 1 was primarily a build-up to the upcoming storyline and family drama, House of Dragons Season 2 will delve into the Dance of Dragons, or civil war between the Targaryens.
Sides were established and divided: the Black and Green, respectively, supported the right of Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) to rule Westeros.
Although the series is based on the book, the screen translation is not as faithful as it was in the first seasons of Game of Thrones. George RR Martin, who was more involved in the spin-off than the parent series, was able to take additional liberties with his original material himself.
But we can already guess what the main events are Fire and blood Revealed in the trailer.
Attention! This article reveals the main plot elements of Fire and Blood and therefore the upcoming season 2. If you don’t want to know what’s in it, don’t read on.
Blood and cheese
The main reveal from the Dragon House trailer is Blood and Cheese, a pair of assassins sent to the Red Keep in response to Lucerius’ murder in the Season 1 finale. The trailer shows a man who appears to be Cheese. Helena Targaryen holds a knife to her throat.
Daemon (Matt Smith) hires these two assassins through Misaria to avenge the death of Lukeris by taking the life of one of Aegon II and Helena’s sons. This event is expected to take place in the first episode of season 2 titled “Son for Son”. This scene has to be one of the most shocking in the series.

Jaqueris learns of Cragan’s loyalty to Winterfell
While Lucerys is sent to Storm’s End to negotiate with House Baratheon in the Season 1 finale, Jakerys travels to Winterfell on the back of a dragon. There he meets Cregan Stark, a young lord his age, with whom he quickly forms a brotherly bond.
Cregan Stark is one of the strongest characters in Season 2. He is known to be an excellent leader who can contribute militarily to the black forces. The new teaser features quick shots of the Shadowmen traveling down a snowy trail, reminding audiences that the Starks will be back for season two.

Raenira presides over the Black War Council
A clip from the trailer shows Rhaenyra gathering her allies in Dragonstone. He already formed the Black War Council in Season 1, but this shot indicates that their first meeting after the war has become inevitable.
The short shot shows Rhaenyra, Daemon, Rhaenys and Ser Eric Cargill. Other important members of the council include Jaqueris, Baela, Reena, and Lord Corliss Velarion. Following the death of Lucerius and the early stages of the war, this encounter will lay the groundwork for each character’s strategic positioning throughout the season.

Battle of the rest of the map
One of the major battles of House of the Dragon Season 2 will take place at Rook’s Rest, a castle located north of Duskedale in the Crownlands. We see the mobilization of troops, which may indicate a massive battle episode.
Director Alan Taylor, who directed the Game of Thrones episode “Beyond the Wall,” is directing House of the Dragon Episode 4. The episode is called “Dance of Dragons”, presumably referring to the dragon battle that will take place on the rest of the map between Mel, Vagar, and Sunfire. Vagar’s wide shot also points to this conflict.

Kargil Twins Duel
The Dragon House is expected to have its own ‘Cleganebowl’ in Season 2 as the Cargill twins find themselves on opposing sides. Introduced in Season 1, Erik and Arik were members of the Royal Guard. After Viserys’s death, Ser Eric travels to Dragonstone to swear fealty to Rhaenyra, while Eric remains with Aegon II.
Season 2 will see the brothers duel as Eric is sent to Dragonstone to transform into Eric and kill Rhaenyra. In Fire and bloodHis brother catches him in the act, they fight and the two Kargil twins die.

Christon Cole executes the followers of Renyra
Sir Christon Cole (Fabien Frankel) will continue to curry favor with the Greens in Season 2 by executing black supporters. His romance with Rhaenyra in Season 1 set the Knight on a path of bitterness and hatred, and he will continue down that path in Season 2.
In the book, Rhaenyra’s supporters who refuse to recognize Aegon II as the rightful king are put to the sword, as shown in the trailer. Cole’s skills make him a trusted ally to Aegon, who will eventually become the Hand of the King.

New riders for dragons
The demon hinted at new dragons in Season 2 at the end of Season 1, singing to Vermitor and preparing him for a new rider. Black hopes to bolster his forces by recruiting riders to claim the untamed dragons of Dragonstone, and the teaser gives a glimpse of just that.
The character depicted is believed to be Adam Velarion, aka Adam Hull, played by actor Clinton Liberty. Addam is a scion of House Velarion who will lay claim to the Smoke of the Dragon Sea once defeated by Leynor Velarion.

The population of Port Real revolted
The trailer shows that the population would start to revolt in King’s Landing after the war in Westeros started. One shot shows Alicent (Olivia Cooke) in the middle of a riot. In Fire and bloodThe only major rebellion comes later when Rhaenyra rules the Iron Throne, out of paranoia over a siege by the Greens and a dragon attack. However, due to the pro-black focus of the series, it appears that riots will occur during Aegon’s reign.

The demon gathers an army at Harrenhal
The trailer shows armies mobilizing on both sides, and Harrenhal is an important fortress for Black in A Dance of Dragons. Before the Battle of Rook’s Rest, the demon made Harrenhal a stronghold for his side, which he captured without bloodshed.
The trailer doesn’t exactly show the castle, but plans for the Targaryen army appear to be based in a similar area, and there’s a shot of a demon brandishing a sword in front of a buckthorn tree that rarely exists in the south outside of Harrenhal. and some other places.
