The first trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2, released last weekend, previews many of the battles and events to come. We remind you that the HBO series is based on a book Fire and blood By George RR Martin, a text that recounts the years of the Targaryen dynasty’s rule over the kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms.

The main reveal from the Dragon House trailer is Blood and Cheese, a pair of assassins sent to the Red Keep in response to Lucerius’ murder in the Season 1 finale. The trailer shows a man who appears to be Cheese. Helena Targaryen holds a knife to her throat.
Daemon (Matt Smith) hires these two assassins through Misaria to avenge the death of Lukeris by taking the life of one of Aegon II and Helena’s sons. This event is expected to take place in the first episode of season 2 titled “Son for Son”. This scene has to be one of the most shocking in the series.
Jaqueris learns of Cragan’s loyalty to Winterfell
While Lucerys is sent to Storm’s End to negotiate with House Baratheon in the Season 1 finale, Jakerys travels to Winterfell on the back of a dragon. There he meets Cregan Stark, a young lord his age, with whom he quickly forms a brotherly bond.
Cregan Stark is one of the strongest characters in Season 2. He is known to be an excellent leader who can contribute militarily to the black forces. The new teaser features quick shots of the Shadowmen traveling down a snowy trail, reminding audiences that the Starks will be back for season two.
Raenira presides over the Black War Council
A clip from the trailer shows Rhaenyra gathering her allies in Dragonstone. He already formed the Black War Council in Season 1, but this shot indicates that their first meeting after the war has become inevitable.
The short shot shows Rhaenyra, Daemon, Rhaenys and Ser Eric Cargill. Other important members of the council include Jaqueris, Baela, Reena, and Lord Corliss Velarion. Following the death of Lucerius and the early stages of the war, this encounter will lay the groundwork for each character’s strategic positioning throughout the season.
Battle of the rest of the map
One of the major battles of House of the Dragon Season 2 will take place at Rook’s Rest, a castle located north of Duskedale in the Crownlands. We see the mobilization of troops, which may indicate a massive battle episode.
Director Alan Taylor, who directed the Game of Thrones episode “Beyond the Wall,” is directing House of the Dragon Episode 4. In the book, Rhaenyra’s supporters who refuse to recognize Aegon II as the rightful king are put to the sword, as shown in the trailer. Cole’s skills make him a trusted ally to Aegon, who will eventually become the Hand of the King.

The trailer shows armies mobilizing on both sides, and Harrenhal is an important fortress for Black in A Dance of Dragons. Before the Battle of Rook’s Rest, the demon made Harrenhal a stronghold for his side, which he captured without bloodshed.
The trailer doesn’t exactly show the castle, but plans for the Targaryen army appear to be based in a similar area, and there’s a shot of a demon brandishing a sword in front of a buckthorn tree that rarely exists in the south outside of Harrenhal. and some other places.
