Netflix: After Vikings, Travis Fimmel is back in an amazing new adventure series

In the series Vikings, revealed thanks to the legendary role of Ragnar Lodbrok, Travis Fimmel has become rare since he left the fiction of Michael Hirst. The Australian actor was particularly distinguished in the movie Warcraft: The Beginning and the TV series Raised by Wolves. But he could return in a new TV project expected in January 2024.

Ragnar’s Interpreter returns to his homeland for the promising detective drama, adapted from Trent Dalton’s semi-autobiographical novel, which has sold more than 160,000 copies in Australia since its 2018 release.

Produced by Joel Edgerton and created by John Collie (Master and Commander, Happy Feet, Tarzan), The Boy and the World is an eight-episode limited series set in Brisbane in the 1980s.

In this action-packed adventure, the magic and innocence of childhood collide with the harsh realities of the adult world. An abandoned father, a brother who kept quiet, a mother struggling with her addiction, a heroin-dealing stepfather and a notorious criminal nanny…

Despite the obstacles that pile up in her path, Ellie Bell tries to listen to her heart and understand what it means to be a good person. Everything changes when he answers the red phone in the basement of his house. Then begins a journey that will destroy her heart before restoring it.

“The Boy and the World” Travis Fimmel has a completely different look than Ragnar Lodbrok and promises to spark. The Australian cast is joined by Simon Baker (The Mentalist), Phoebe Tonkin (The Originals), Anthony LaPaglia (FBI: Missing), Christopher James Baker (Ozark), Sophie Wilde (The Hand), Felix Cameron (Penguin Bloom) and Lee Tiger. Hull.

The Boy and the World trailer promises an adventure both exciting and disturbing with a heavy dose of mystery. The limited series is expected to premiere on January 11, 2024 on Netflix.
