Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour gets premiere date on digital platforms

Concert film records the artist’s most recent tour, which passed through Brazil in November, and recalls her 17-year career

After visiting cinemas and entering the Book of Records with the highest grossing film in the history of a concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Filmrecord of the current tour of Taylor Swiftit already has a date to reach digital platforms, for purchase and rental.

Although fans imagined that the film would premiere worldwide on December 13th, to celebrate the film’s birthday, Taylor Swiftas announced by the blonde on her social networks, the production will arrive with a little delay to Brazilian streaming services, on December 21st.

Lasting around three hours, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film takes a look at the artist’s seventeen-year career and all ten eras released so far. In the digital version, the show will include three new songs: Wildest Dreams, The Archer It is Long Live. Watch the trailer:

Recently, the Guinness World Records, the Book of Records, consecrated the concert film as the holder of the highest box office collection for a production of its kind in the history of cinema. From its debut in October until last November 23rd, The Eras Tour Concert Film had already raised more than US$246 million (around R$1.2 billion at current prices) worldwide.

Before that, the production, which presents the show in honor of the 17-year career of Taylor Swift, had already broken the record for the biggest opening for a concert film by grossing US$109 million (R$543 million) in its first five days in theaters. The previous record belonged to Justin Bieber: Never Say Neverlong Justin bieberwhich made $99 million in its opening weekend in 2011.
