Comedian Steve Bridges died in his sleep at the age of 41, the comedian’s wife reported via social media on Friday the 17th. The American artist was known for his comedy sketches and had more than 2 million followers on Instagram.

“I’m sorry to have to say it like this. I think if I wait any longer, I won’t make it. But Steve Bridges passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2025,” Chelsey Bridges began.

The comedian’s partner also highlighted her husband’s family side: “What you saw online were simply the characters he had created. He was so talented, because he was the opposite of all of them. He was the most attentive father and the best husband. The most incredible and sweetest man. Thanks to you, the Internet, he managed to realize his dream of making people laugh,” she continued.

Steve and Chelsey were married for 16 years and had three children with his wife. She constantly appeared in her husband’s videos.

According to the comedian’s wife TMZhe looked great and focused on diet and fitness before his unexpected death. Also according to Chelsey, Steve’s grandmother died in a similar manner at the age of 52. The comedian’s father and grandfather also died young, around the age of 40.
