Pax Massilia on Netflix: ‘I Broke All My Ribs on Day One’, Tewfik Jalabi Shares Painful Memories of Filming

From Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Olivier Marshall (36 Quai des Orfèvres) offers Netflix users the opportunity to discover his new series called Pax Massilia. In this rather effective piece of fiction, the public also finds in the credits actor Tewfik Jalab (Gears, Black Hearts) as the police officer Lies.

Danger hovers over Marseille

This tough guy leads a team of tough cops, with sometimes questionable methods, who must stop a violent drug dealer from trying to take over Marseille. Lies and his super team welcome a new recruit into their midst at the same time, and it doesn’t seem like he got there by accident…

AlloCiné’s Tewfik Jalabi is back with us on the set of Pax Massilla in Marseille. The actor especially revealed to us why this whole project became such a big challenge for him: because of the injury!

Every series was a challenge!

A key stakeholder told us:Our first day of shooting was a special day… We were shooting not far from here in Marseille, on the beach, and our characters had to play soccer, incognito. However, thirty seconds into the first act, I jump in the air to play football, fall and break all my ribs…

I had to spend all these months on set with less ribs, Tewfik Jalabi remembered without pain. So every sequence was a challenge for me, in fact (laughs) speaking my lines and breathing without appearing on screen was my challenge!

In Pax Massilia he plays alongside Jean Gourso (Alice), Nicolas Duvachel (Murillo), Lani Sogoiu (Audrey), Olivier Barthelemy (Arnaud), Idir Azougli (Tatu), Florence Thomasin (Curator Fabian) and Samir Boitar (Ali). . .

The six episodes that make up the first season of Pax Massilia are available now and exclusively on Netflix.
