Only one character from the Walking Dead universe has appeared in three different series of the franchise. And no, it’s not Rick Grimes or Daryl Dixon (although he stars in his own spin-off airing on Paramount+)…
With 125 episodes, Carol Pelletier is the character who has appeared in the most episodes of The Walking Dead. An iconic character of the original series, the latter would have had to die in the early seasons anyway if the program had faithfully followed the comic book storyline.
Carol also appeared in the spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead. Certainly not a major role, unlike Morgan and Dwight, who became the main characters of this spin-off. Carol appears with Rick and Jesus during a flashback at the beginning of Season 4, and returns before Morgan’s departure for the West.

The third series is currently being filmed
The third Walking Dead series in which Carol appears is Daryl Dixon. Originally, the latter was supposed to play the lead role in this spin-off, along with Norman Reedus. But the transfer of filming to France forced the actress Melissa McBride to leave the project, because it was impossible to be away from her children for such a long time.
Completely absent from the first season, Carol will return for Daryl Dixon’s season 2, already ordered and currently filming. In this case, the character will become the only hero of The Walking Dead to appear in three different series of the famous horror franchise.
The first season of Daryl Dixon can be seen every Friday exclusively on Paramount+.
