Is this the beginning of the end for the Grey’s Anatomy world? American channel ABC recently announced that Station 19, a spin-off of the medical series, will be released at the end of its 7th season, which will be broadcast from Thursday, March 14 in the United States.
This early decision will allow production to work on an ending worthy of the Station 19 firefighter name. By the time it says goodbye, the Shonda Rhimes-created series will reach 100 episodes, although the season will be cut to 10 episodes next season. The writers’ and actors’ strike that paralyzed Hollywood for months.
“For seven seasons, Station 19 was one of ABC’s flagship series thanks to Shonda and Betsy’s incredible vision, lovable characters, and compelling storylines.Disney Television President Craig Erwich said in a statement. “We have a lot to look forward to in the final season, including celebrating the show’s 100th episode.“
Launching in 2018, Station 19 is the second Grey’s Anatomy spin-off since Private Practice, which ended in 2013. The series follows the daily lives of the firefighters of Seattle’s Station 19, and in particular Ben Warren (Jason George), the husband. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson).
Note that Season 7 of Station 19 will also change after Joanne Clack and Peter Page took over from Krista Vernoff as showrunners for the series.

At this time, the production has not yet communicated the fate of the characters related to the Grey’s Anatomy universe. Will Ben Warren, Bailey’s husband and originally one of Gray Sloan’s doctors, return to the hospital for good, or will there only be a few appearances?
The same goes for Karina DeLuca-Bishop (Stefania Spampinato), originally from Grey’s Anatomy, who became one of the main characters of Station 19 from Season 4.
