For the first time, Netflix has released an engagement report, revealing its core audience for the first half of 2023. Previously, the streamer did not want to reveal specific audience data for all of its shows.
The announcement, held this Tuesday (12), brings hours watched of over 18 thousand titles, including Netflix originals and licensed content.

According to The Wall Street Journalthe program that had the best results between January and June 2023 was “O Agente Noturno”, with over 800 million hours viewed.
The second season of “Ginny & Georgia”, the first of “A Lição”, “Wandinha” and “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” closed the Top 5.
Nine of the ten most-watched titles, as well as the six most-watched programs, were Netflix originals.
The third season of the drama series “A Rainha do Sul” was the only one to appear in the Top 10, with nearly 430 million hours watched. “The Mother,” a Netflix original action film starring Jennifer Lopez in the lead role, was the most-watched film, with about 250 million hours.
Among the most viewed films also “Luther: Nightfall”, “Resgate 2” and “Certas Pessoa”, all 100% made by the streaming giant.
According to the company, more than 60% of titles published between January and June appeared in the weekly top ten.
Success on Netflix can come in all shapes and sizes and is not determined solely by hours watched. It’s all about whether a movie or TV show moved its audience and the size of that audience relative to the economics of the title.
