Universal Pictures Brasil finally released, on Wednesday (13th), the first trailer for Kung Fu Panda 4. The sequel, which hits the big screen on March 7, 2024, arrives after a seven-year hiatus, bringing back not only the clever Po (Jack Black), but also the villainous Tai Lung (Ian McShane), the famous leopard from the original film of 2008.
According to the synopsis: “Po will need help. And he finds it (sort of) in the fast and cunning thief Zhen (Awkwafina), a fox who drives Po crazy but whose skills will be invaluable. In their crusade to protect the Valley of Peace from Camaleoa’s reptilian claws, the two will form an unlikely duo and learn to work together. With this, Po will eventually discover that heroes can emerge from the most unexpected places and times.”

Success in the animation genre, Kung Fu Panda (2008) grossed an impressive $631 million at the worldwide box office. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount, the film became DreamWorks’ opening non-sequel film and the highest-grossing animated film of the year worldwide.
In addition to the other two sequels, from 2011 and 2016 – both with good box office returns -, the clumsy panda also won a television series, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of the Dragon Warriorand a Christmas special, released in 2010. Airing on Nickelodeon, the series had three successful seasons.
